I have worked in the games industry in some form or fashion since 2001. Here are some of my more recent accomplishments:
Commercial Titles
Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword
At Firaxis, I worked as a design assistant, and created content for the award winning expansion to the companies flagship product.
Guitar Hero II
As a technical artist on Guitar Hero II, I helped artists and programmers be more productive. I wrote several tools for work-flow optimization and data analysis. I also did some refactoring of the Harmonix automated build and testing system.
Independent Work
Tank
Tank was a side-scrolling continuous level action game inspired by Super Metroid and Cave Story. I served as project lead, and lead programmer. An engine was developed in-house for the game which featured deferred shading, Lua scripting, XML based scene description, physics, and more.
Ship
Ship (notice a trend here?) was a fast run-and-gun space shooter. Ship featured a home-grown C++ engine which supported split screen multiplayer
